Industry analyst firm Forrester Research just released a new report entitled The Forrester Wave: Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations, Q4 2020. In a 33-criterion evaluation of AIOps providers, Forrester identified the 11 most significant ones and researched, analyzed, and scored them. We are excited to be recognized as a Strong Performer in this report, scoring the highest possible score in the infrastructure and cloud monitoring category. The report also gave Zenoss the highest possible score in the market approach category.
According to the Forrester report, “The complexity of IT systems has been exponentially increasing for the past several years. This has led I&O teams that lack modernized skill sets, processes, and tooling to struggle with achieving complete visibility into the digital services they provide to customers.” The report goes on to say: “Vendors have responded by attempting to provide platform solutions that combine several once-siloed monitoring disciplines such as infrastructure, application, and networking. This approach provides a much broader and more unified set of capabilities that leverage data to make smarter inferences on service health and provide a higher level of automation once those insights are found.”
Evaluating an array of platform solutions with disparate approaches is a nontrivial endeavor. When we look across the industry, we see more than 80 vendors that we believe could have been candidates for the research. And we are proud of the fact that, of the 11 vendors included in the report, we are recognized as a Strong Performer and received the maximum score possible in infrastructure and cloud monitoring.
Unlike some reviews published by other analyst firms, the Forrester Wave document is accompanied by a spreadsheet that enables Forrester customers to adjust weightings to reflect their own use cases. It also enables them to tailor the evaluation to highlight the vendors that are best suited for their specific needs. This is a great tool and all customers should use it to get the most out of the research.
